Recently I have been totally inspired by the colours on an amazing jumpsuit designed by the team at Sustainable Style Boutique and have used the colour combination to make these fabulus peacock feathers!
I have used three different colours of genuine leather to create the dramatic effect, metallic blue at the top, metallic gold in the middle and then metallic green at the bottom. Finished with gold plated fisherman hook ear wires.
The leather feathers have been created by hand using a leather cutting die (not a machine). The video gives an example of how I make this style of earring.
All leather used are from left overs from the fashion industry, that would usually go to landfill. I aim to use every little bit to create these beautiful and unique earrings and reduce waste in the process. You may find the odd blemish in the leather due to this.
The drop measures approximately 9 centimetres.
